Things to do in Pittsburg, Kansas

Pittsburg is in the Southeast corner of Kansas. This city hosts Little Balkans Days, a celebration of the community’s European ethnic heritage. The event features games, entertainment, a parade, a competition, and arts & crafts; usually held in conjunction with Labor Day. Pittsburg is also well-known for being in the epicenter of the Chicken Wars between Chicken Marys and Chicken Annies - two delicious fried chicken restaurants that are quite literally side-by-side. The city also has amazing architecture to feast your eyes on, such as the Colonial Fox Theatre and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
