When you and your sweetheart gaze upon the 50,000 tulips that bloom each spring at Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine, you know the town’s name (French for “beautiful plain”) is apt. Singer-songwriter Robin Macy (a founder of The Chicks) is now the frontwoman for a band of volunteers who maintain the trees and tranquility.
