Sedan is a community located in the Southeast region of the state and was founded back in 1871 after the Battle of Sedan in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71). Major attractions in the city include the Emmett Kelly Historical Museum, The Hollow Park, Sedan City Lake Nature Trail, and Butcher Falls, which offer amazing outdoor recreation in the area. The beautiful Butcher Falls are located just west of town on the Red Buffalo Ranch. Those who stop by downtown Sedan will have some amazing shops that you'll have to visit at least once, maybe twice! The Red Buffalo Store, Gunnar Bourbon, and T-Bar Mercantile are just to name a few!
