Wonder Fair is an Art Gallery, Design Shop, and Art Supply located at 841 Massachusetts Street, Lawrence, Kansas. Founded in 2008 by KU BFA Illustration graduate Eric Dobbins, our leadership evolved to include Kelly John Clark, Lee Piechocki, and Jason Barr from 2010-2011. In Fall 2011, the Wonder Fair torch was passed to current owners Meredith Moore (MA, Art History) and Paul DeGeorge (wizard), who lead Wonder Fair with the gracious assistance of 5-10 Creative Volunteers. Throughout the year, Wonder Fair hosts a rotating schedule of exhibitions, installations, workshops, and the occasional haunted dinner party in our white-cube gallery space. Our attached shoppe offers a careful selection of fine prints, stationery, and all things beautiful, useful, and responsibly made. Wonder Fair was voted "Best Staircase" in Lawrence.com's Best of Lawrence 2011, 2012, and 2014. The spirit of Wonder Fair lies in the conviction that creativity is essential for the well-being of individuals and their community. Wonder Fair believes in the power of the handmade, the connecting and transformative properties of art, and the importance of shared experience. Our practical commitment to these beliefs is to maintain a gallery, a site for social dialogue and creative exchange. Through the gallery and our rigorous exhibition schedule and a diverse range of special events, we form a hub of interconnectivity, a link between family, friends, and like-minded strangers within Lawrence and beyond. Through our shop, we approach these beliefs with entrepreneurial verve empowering artists and enriching the community.
