Wilson County Old Iron Club has established year-round programming, with Old Iron Days held the last Thursday through Sunday in September, a “Kansas Heritage Series” of three educational events in late winter, and more. Our facilities and grounds host numerous events, meetings and activities yearly with many held in partnership with other groups. We are continuing to seek out ways to partner with others for the purpose of strengthening our local rural communities.
The show grounds have been developed to include two Main Street buildings (built with generous donations from the First National Bank in Fredonia), a sawmill building, shingle saw structure, domestic arts building, small engine display building, feed and seed cleaning building, a fur shed, broom making, chair caning, equipment sheds, a chapel and many other structures. Recreational vehicle hook-ups are available. The grounds may be toured by vehicle, and buildings are open to the public by appointment.
