TOPEKA RESTAURANT WEEK, MARCH 1-8 2019
Lunch specials cost $15 per person and include three courses. First is a choice of Celeriac Soup, with Granny Smith apples and celery leaves, or the Weather Room Salad, with escarole, bacon, egg, smoked tomato and blue cheese. Second course is an option of a Burnett Burger, with house-blended, aged cheddar, Burnett chutney and brioche, or Eggplant Sandwich, with crispy eggplant, mozzarella, tomato, olive tapenade. For dessert, a Weather Room Brownie with chocolate sauce and chantilly cream.
Dinner specials cost $35 per person, with a first-course option of braised bacon, pickled turnips and carrots, with bourbon peppercorn maple glaze, or a Weather Room Salad. Entree choices are crispy salmon, with Confit tomatoes, lemon caper Brussels sprouts and chermoula; Brick Chicken, with broccolini and lemon herb pan jus; or a 6 oz. Center Cut Filet Mignon, with gremolata crust and mushroom duxelles. Dessert is a Banana Sticky Toffee Pudding, with toffee sauce, caramelized banana, candied walnuts and a touch of sea salt.
