The William Thomas Turner barn rests peacefully among the gently rolling hills of southwest Johnson County. The Turner barn stands as a recognized Johnson County Landmark in the state of Kansas. Built in 1898, and still owned by the Turner family, the barn is now 120 years old. It is a rare and exceptional barn in both Johnson County and United States for its design, craftsmanship, and longevity. The Turner Barn is available for weddings, reunions, events, family photos and much more. The Turner Barn will soon offer a you pick orchard with seven varieties of apples and two varieties of cherries. Seasonal produce will be available in the spring and summer, including pumpkins and Christmas trees in the fall. Other scheduled activities will include demonstrations of farming activities from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Please call for dates and hours of operation.
