Henry also had the largest apple orchard and dairy. Henry was an abolitionist, and helped the slaves seek refuge through the Underground Railroad on several sites of his property. Henry and Elenora were strong in their faith, and believed in a good education. Elenora held the first school in their barn on the homestead and eventually helped to erect a Stone Schoolhouse which was named after the Strong Family.
