The McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation recently re-opened relocated in a brand new 26K sq. foot facility at 1111 E. Kansas Ave. The museum houses an extensive collection of meteorites, fossils and the first man-made diamond in its science collection. The museum's art collection includes folk art, textiles and treasures from Africa, China and Native American pottery. Exhibits on local history are highlighted by the 1936 Globe Refiners who won the first Olympic gold medal in basketball.

The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 1:00-5:00 p.m.; Memorial Day – Labor Day Tuesday - Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m.
