Lexington Lake Park is located west of De Soto and north of Kansas 10 Highway. This 465-acre park features a 27-acre lake, which was previously a private fishing lake originally constructed in the 1950s.
One of the park’s unique natural features is a virgin prairie with 120 prairie plant species, including the federally-threatened Mead’s milkweed, oak and hickory forest, and tallgrass prairie.
