The Jewell County Historical Society Museum contains many donated gifts of various descriptions. The Jewell County Historical Society also has the 1899 Post Rock Jail at the southwest corner of Center and Madison Streets. Tours are available upon request.
There is a microfilm reader at the Mankato City Library and microfilm of Jewell County newspapers available for geneaology and history research. All of these are sponsored by the Jewell County Historical Society. The museum also houses various local records which are available to researchers as well.
