Housed in the historic post office-federal building built in 1912, the museum is home to numerous artifacts and surprising histories about life on the prairie and the city that grew out of "Haytown" and established in 1870. The permanent exhibits are housed in 22 individual rooms and includes the reconstruction of one of Montgomery County's first log house, "Miss Liberty" the largest statue that stood atop the Montgomery County Courthouse from the 1880s to 1930, and many turn of the 20th century artifacts. http://IHMAC.org
