Hutchinson's Historic Fox Theatre is among the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the Central United States. The theatre, which originally opened in 1931, was completely restored in 1999. It presents live stage shows, a film series, educational programs and special events and is available for business meetings, weddings, reunions and receptions. The impressive Fox marquee was the first display of flashing neon in Kansas and is one of the region's few surviving original marquees. The Fox is on the State and National Registers of Historic Places and is the official State Movie Place of Kansas! Open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
