An extra special invitation is extended to you to attend the municipal Band Concerts, featuring the oldest continuing municipal band in the state of Kansas, performing without fail since 1871. Sousa marches, old time sing-a-longs and Dixieland fill the courthouse square each Thursday evening in June and July. Also, in conjunction with the notable concerts is an old-fashioned ice cream social complete with ice cream and baked goods to enjoy.
