Established in 1979, the Downtown Farmers Market of Manhattan is one of the oldest markets in the state. It has a rich history of local producers , growers, and crafters bringing the best in fresh and hand made to Manhattan area residents each week. The Saturday morning market typically averages between 30-35 vendors with as many as 50 or more during the height of the season. Market’ hours are from 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. every Saturday. The hour between 8 to 9 a.m. is designated an "elevated risk hour," reserved for those over 60 or with health factors that put them at an elevated risk of complications from COVID-19. The market runs April through October at 3rd & Leavenworth. The winter market established in 2011, runs from November to April at Cico Park, inside Pottorf Hall.
