We have put together some of our favorite small-town coffee shops from all 6 regions of the state for you to checkout and re-caffeinate while traveling, shopping, or simply stopping in to destress before you head back to a house full of relatives….loved ones 😉!

True Brew Coffee House

True Brew Coffee House is a full Espresso Bar & Bistro located on U.S. 75 in the small town of Lyndon, Kansas, about 40 minutes south of Topeka, Kansas. This cute and quaint coffee house offers a great location to meet others in a relaxing environment with indoor and outdoor seating options. True Brew offers a variety of iced and hot drinks and serves amazing breakfast and lunch! While grabbing a drink, you can also peruse their small selection of local merchandise to purchase as gifts!

Cottonwood Coffeehouse

Cottonwood Coffeehouse is in downtown Lakin, Kansas. They serve espresso drinks, teas, creme sodas, pastries, and much more. Cottonwood Coffee House is a great place to study, meet, relax, or eat. They recently introduced a tiny bookshop to spread their love of reading with the community. Stop in get a nice drink and pick up a good book!

Oscar’s 

Oscar's of Hoxie offers great morning coffee and espresso, delicious confections and lunch meals to rural western Kansas. The coffee shop even provides space and services for professional events and corporate catering. Look for the coffee shop with Oscar the longhorn standing out front, you can’t miss it!

The Farm & Odd Fellows Coffee Shop

The Farm & The Odd Fellows coffee shop is located inside a 1916 historic Odd Fellows building in downtown Minneapolis, Kansas. The coffee shop is one of the multiple businesses brought to life through the inspiration of building community. The café offers a variety of fresh pastries, sandwiches, smoothies and squeezes. The Farm & Odd Fellows Coffee Shop also includes a rare entity that many others do not! The back of the coffee café is host to a 25’ x 60’ pickleball court so you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee and observe or partake in a friendly game!

Octagon City Coffee

Octagon City Coffee is a unique coffee shop with a unique history. Named after a historic city that led to the eventual settlement of what is now known as Humboldt. Octagon City began as an experiment of communal living, ‘free from contamination of flesh, alcohol, and social vices’, and included a plan to build the city in the form of an octagon. Stop by this intriguing coffee shop and enjoy their wide selection of coffee, specialty drinks, muffins, and unique history!

Black Smith Coffee Shop

As you explore downtown Lindsborg, you won’t want to miss out on this uniquely renovated blacksmith shop turned coffee shop! Black Smith Coffee Shop not only has amazing crafted drinks, but it also has a unique history. In the restored blacksmith shop you'll find an antique lumber wagon converted into an elegant espresso bar, a detailed history of the building, and stories in the floors, where you can see where wagon wheels were once crafted by a blacksmith.
