Growing up in western Kansas in a newspaper family, Kristin Boyd Kemerling, always has enjoyed the art of writing. She started writing in journalism classes in high school and went on to write for the Royal Purple yearbook and Kansas State Collegian while at college at Kansas State University. One of her favorite things about writing is interviewing and meeting the most fascinating people and being able to share their stories.
After graduating with degrees in public relations and print journalism from Kansas State University, Kristin worked at the K-State Alumni Association and on the K-Stater, Kansas State University's alumni magazine, for seven years until her first child was born. Now, Kristin spends her time raising her three children, while freelance writing about three of her favorite things - the state of Kansas, Kansas State University and the town of Manhattan. She feels privileged and honored to be able to write and share stories about her beloved state of Kansas.
