GUIDANCE FOR TRAVELERS
The Governor of Kansas has issued a state-wide Stay At Home order. Travelers entering Kansas from certain states have a required 14-day quarantine. Please refer to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment link below for the latest updates.
Kansas Tourism manages two state-owned Travel Information Centers. The brochure distribution portion of the Goodland Travel Information Center at MM 7 Eastbound on I-70 is closed. Restrooms are open and limited travel brochures are available in the lobby. The brochure distribution portion and gift shop at the Belle Plaine Travel Information Center at 770 N. I-35 is closed. Restrooms, gas and food services remain open.
We encourage the traveling public to seek and heed the latest expert guidance, and to make fact-based travel decisions. Travelers should observe safe travel habits as outlined by the CDC.
Many events throughout Kansas are being rescheduled to a later date. We encourage you to call ahead to confirm the status of every event.
Many tourism businesses and travel information centers are operating with limited staffing, reduced hours or are closed to the public. They are following guidance from local health officials and are taking precautions to keep guests safe. We encourage you to always call ahead during this rapidly evolving situation.
We encourage you to refer to reliable and factual sources as you make your travel decisions.
