Maxwell Wildlife Refuge

The Maxwell Wildlife Refuge provides a rare look at the past as a herd of bison roams the native prairie. Elk, birds, wildflowers, and native grasses in the rolling hills can be viewed from the observation tower or up close while on the "covered wagon" tram tour. The refuge is located off of the Prairie Spirit Scenic Byway - one of the State's most scenic drives.
