Emma Chase Friday Night Music
The Emma Chase Cafe may no longer exist, but the music lives on. Since 1999 musicians have made their way to Main Street in Cottonwood Falls where they perform during Friday Night Music. The tradition began with Sue Smith, who welcomed the talented pickin' and fiddlin' musicians as well as an audience of locals and those passing through. Sixteen years later a crowd still gathers around 7:30 as lawn chairs pepper the brick street. And if conditions aren't fair, the crowd moves inside. Other Cottonwood Falls attractions include the famous waterfall, Flint Hills Gallery, and the Chase County Courthouse.
