Stargazing at Coronado Heights
Named after the Spanish explorer Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, Coronado Heights is perched high above the Kansas farmlands. During the 1930s the Works Progress Administration built the stone castle as a means to attract visitors - which many travel to today. Located northwest of Lindsborg, Coronado Heights is a stargazer's destination, for the uninterrupted sky gives a majestic view of the stars above. The site is also home to trails worthy of a little exploring and being located near Lindsborg allows for the perfect weekend getaway. Discover "Little Sweden" and it's charm!
