Bartlett Arboretum
This wooded sanctuary carries a unique history matched with a blossoming future. Accounting for 40 acres just 20 miles south of Wichita, Bartlett Arboretum was founded by Dr. Walter Bartlett, an area doctor, in 1910. His love for the land led to a relationship with the Department of Agriculture as they used the area to test trees and plants from around the world. Today, singer-songwriter Robin Macy tends to the gardens with her troupe of soil sisters. Enjoy a summer concert on the lawn and take in the sights of the flora and fauna.
