R Bar opened in September 2011 and is located just minutes northwest of David Booth Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas. Since then, R Bar has seen some changes. Transforming from just a drinking-only night club to a full-fledged member of the Lawrence restaurant and bar community with the addition of a kitchen in 2015.

OrderAwesome bar. Great environment, friendly staff, well priced drinks. The staff is very capable and competent handling the rush during peak times, and on New Years Eve the owners were running everything behind the bar which speaks to the quality of the ownership. The bar has some cool retro arcade games in the back as well as an awesome patio that is a cool place to kick back in the summer time.
Best wings anywhere. ANY-WHERE. Tried them all, RBar is still tops. The garage doors are open when the weather's nice making for a relaxing night out on the patio. The bar is mostly locals and everyone is friendly. Pool, darts, bags, shuffle board, sports on TV and incredible wings make this THE spot.
Incredible food and great drink specials. Tons of TVs for watching the game. One of the best patios in Lawrence.
