The commercial Main Street structures were built between 1872 & 1900 of the late Victorian styling. Today the structures support many retail stores, restaurants, and local services. This area of Main was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1972. Eight interactive kiosks show and tell you the story of Ottawa along Main Street. All kiosks are packed with old photos that you can compare to the actual buildings that still stand and those that have perished. You can start anywhere, for each kiosk tells the story of a block.
