A visitor once remarked that St. Paul is the "Little Town with the Big Church." Indeed, the St. Francis Catholic Church towers over the community and welcomes those from near and far. Construction on the church began in 1872 and it was dedicated on May 11, 1884. The church interior and exterior were remodeled in 2000; it is a must see for those passing through the community. Adjoining the church is a beautiful, serene church garden celebrating the Stations of the Cross. Directly south of the church is the Osage Mission - Neosho County Museum and Osage Catholic Mission Historical Marker.
