Visit the limestone guard tower (built by the POWs) and see the base of the camp water tower in the field to the north. Travel a quarter mile on east to what was once the main entrance to the camp. The original main gate guard post building was moved off the main road just to the west. An information kiosk show the original layout of the camp.
This camp once comprised of 308 buildings, including housing for 4,000 German POWs, a hospital, fire department, mess halls, restaurants, PX, post office, warehouses and administration buildings for 880 American soldiers.
