A 6-acre complex with a Prairie Mansion, log cabin, turn-of-the-century town, plus a 2 1/2 acre botanical garden. The cabin is a replica of the home built by Anthony and Mary Jane Ward in 1854 before the settlement of Topeka. In the 1870s, the Wards built the Prairie mansion which is now on the National Register of Historic Places.


Also offering children's parties, rentals and meals, summertime in the park, and wedding locations. Visit the Mulvane General Store for a unique shopping experience or sit at the marble counter and order a soda fountain treat in the Potwin Drug Store.


Guided Tours: 10 a.m., Noon, 2 p.m. Monday - Friday; Noon & 2 p.m. Saturday & Sunday. Fees for tours: $4.50 Adults, $4.00 Seniors, $ 2 Children 6-12. Park open daily from dawn to dusk. Mulvane General Store & Powtin Drug Store open Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sunday Noon - 4 p.m.
