"Country beyond belief", the MuleSkinner Lodge is an old renovated barn named after it's previously deceased muleskinner (mule handler/trainer) owner. The lodge and it's 20 acres of Kansas Certified Tree Farm and Wildlife Habitat is tucked away in the NE KS, wooded, Glacial Hills. The Lodge, situated on Raccoon Ridge & overlooking a beautiful ravine, creek and meadow, has become a most popular, private, year around get-a-way for literally any occasion. It is a 20x40' one unit that will sleep 9. The entire lodge and grounds rent for $140.00 (dbl. occupancy) per night You may cook your own food; however, breakfast provided upon request; kitchen and lodge are fully equipped. The Memorial Green Garden with two waterfalls and gracious hospitality will greet you upon your arrival.
A hollow log wash basin, simulated creek, and waterfall shower partially comprise the "deep forest" bath room. Log trundle beds afford extra room for up to 30 capacity inside for family gatherings, honeymoons, military retreats, weekend getaways, scrapbooking, reunions, meetings, and a multitude of other event gatherings and one can toast their toes while "Watching the Woods Fill up With Snow" across the ravine in winter. Unlimited space is available for outdoor events. The Lodge is within 12-25 mi. of 3 casinos and in walking distance of 2 churches. Wildlife is abundant; Mr. Squirrel might humor you occasionally bounding around the lodge on the wrap-around deck railing; raccoons chatter at night from the ravine; deer sometimes walk right up to the lodge and "trim" the euonomous bushes and red foxes are seen also.
Relax yourself in the hot tub solarium surrounded by ferns and vines & enjoy the VERY finest Massage Therapy. Everything about the lodge is natural, even the therapist is a true cowboy. Stroll through or swing under the lovely blue wisteria wedding arbor while enjoying the vista of the ravine. The little hot tub lounge with separate bath will sleep 2 of the 9 and is adjacent to the large picnic, tenting area where exist picnic tables and fire pit; firewood is provided. Walking trails and primitive camping with outhouse exist across the creek among the many mature trees that comprise the Tree Farm and Wildlife Habitat. The area many years ago was the Denison Fair Grounds and is lovely to experience.
Muleskinner Lodge is the perfect escape. Enjoy 4 seasons here at the most unbelievable bed and breakfast ever in the very Heart of our "America, The Beautiful". MuleSkinner Lodge, "the" place to see and "the" place to be.
