Midland Railway operates a train that travels through scenic Eastern Kansas' rolling farmland and woods using early 1900s vintage coaches. The Railway offers scenic train rides on an 11-mile round trip from Baldwin City to Norwood and a 22 mile round trip from Baldwin City to Ottawa. The train operates rain or shine Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays during their open season.The railway is a joint project of the Midland Railway Historical Association and the Santa Fe Trail Historical Society.
