The Hutchinson Sports Arena has been the home of the Men's NJCAA National Basketball Tournament since 1949. Every March, 24 of the country's top junior college teams gather at the Sports Arena to determine the NJCAA Division I National Championship.

The Sports Arena is used throughout the year for other sporting events, including wrestling and volleyball and as a lecture hall and for community events. It seats approximately 7,000.

Undergoing a $29 million renovation to be completed in 2017. New entrance on the south side featuring updated concourse and new concession areas. New practice facility on north side featuring three practice courts. Various multi-purpose rooms to be utilized for hospitality areas and meeting rooms. Updated press box area for media broadcasts. Seating capacity over 6,000 and on-site event parking with over 1,000 stalls.
