More than 3,000 fans sat on bleachers, hung on fences, and watched from Model T's when the Chicago White Sox and New York Giants came to town in 1913.

Baseball legends like Jim Thorpe, John McGraw, Sam Crawford, Bill Klem and Christy "Big Six" Mathewson were there that day. The field they played on is still in use as a ball field.

Photos of the game are available to view at the community center during business hours and at the Blue Rapids Museum on Saturday mornings.
