6th school district to be organized in Norton County. Established by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hillmon in 1874. Dedicated as tourist attraction September 1969. Site of an adobe pioneer home and historic Hillmon school; both are window view museums. Praire Dog State Park & Sebelius Lake: "Pets allowed, full utility hookup, electrical only hookup, electric & water, drinking water, dump station, restrooms, showers, playground, primitive campsites, swimming beach, rentals. Excellent fishing includes bass, walleye, saugeye, wiper and crappie. Over 200 campsites and four cabins. The 6,400 acres set aside for wildlife area abounds with pheasant, waterfowl and deer."
