Eagle Valley Raptor Center is a nonprofit organization that provides injured and orphaned Kansas Birds of Prey food, shelter and vet care so they can be released back to the wild. The center also provides homes for many non-releasable Owls, Hawks, Falcons, Vultures and Eagles. These feathered ambassadors travel to schools and many other appropriate organizations and help teach about their importance to our Kansas environment. The center also offers an exciting and educational experience, with guided tours, that includes free flight demonstrations. Tours generally take an hour to an hour and a half. Cameras and video recorders are encouraged. See one of the largest flight pens in Kansas that allow the birds to exercise prior to their release. Many of the birds that you will see up close include the Great Horned Owl, Barn Owl, Barred Owl, Screech Owl and the fastest bird in the world the Peregrine Falcon. Also the beautiful Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Turkey Vulture, Harris Hawk, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Spectecled Owl and both the Bald and Golden Eagle. A covered Pavilion with picnic tables is onsite for snacks, picnics or cookouts. Restrooms and a large parking lot for buses is onsite. Eagle Valley Raptor Center is licensed with the US Fish & Wildlife Service and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. All Tours are scheduled in advance. Admission is a suggested $5.00 donation per person with a minimum of 8 people. Children 3 and under are free. To book your guided tour please call (316) 542-9981. Come See, Learn & be Amazed!
