Brownlee House is the former home of Don and Mary Jo Brownlee. Situated in a quiet rural setting in western Reno County is a surprise for all who see it for the first time. While Don was a farmer and rancher, the mark he left was from his love of art and music. The property and house are full of Don's carvings and sculptures, along with his pride and joy... a fully functional pipe organ with over 500 pipes! Asked to describe the house after seeing it the first time, most people are at a loss for words how to describe what all they have seen. Michael and Janis Murphy purchased the property in an effort to save the house from renovation into a "normal" house. It is a work in progress, but visitors will still enjoy seeing this former farm house filled with Don's folk art and uniqueness of architecture. Tours at this time are by appointment only, please call 620-486-2962 to arrange your tour.
