#KSBucketList Experience #64 - Strataca
Explore 650 feet below the earth's surface inside the salt mines of Strataca in Hutchinson. One of the original Kansas Sampler Foundation's "8 Wonders of Kansas," Strataca opened in May 2007 and features a double-decker elevator that plunges visitors to the depths of salt deposits. This museum experience is like none other, featuring mined areas, geographic formations, and exhibits that showcase artifacts left behind by miners from the last 85 years.
Visit any of the 70 locations, take a photo at the site and post it to Instagram or Twitter or on the Kansas Tourism Facebook page and use the hashtag #KSBucketList (one entry per person per location) for a chance to win. One winner will be drawn at random each month and awarded a prize, and a grand prize winner will be announced at the end of 2016. Contest begins January 1, 2016.
