#KSBucketList Experience #48 - Mushroom Rock State Park
Just south of Salina stands one of Kansas' many natural wonders - Mushroom Rocks. These unique, mushroom-shaped rocks date back to the Crustaceous Period and are the remains of beach sand and sediment rock that were naturally cemented by calcium carbonate. As a bonus, the rock is located on Prairie Trail Scenic Byway.
Visit any of the 70 locations, take a photo at the site and post it to Instagram or Twitter or on the Kansas Tourism Facebook page and use the hashtag #KSBucketList (one entry per person per location) for a chance to win. One winner will be drawn at random each month and awarded a prize, and a grand prize winner will be announced at the end of 2016. Contest begins January 1, 2016.
