#KSBucketList Experience #31 - Free State Brewing Co.
The first legal Kansas brewery after prohibition, Free State Brewing Company opened its Lawrence doors in 1989 after a 100-year drought. Enjoy a variety of longstanding beers that are named in honor of Kansas symbols, such as Wheat State Golden, as well as award-winning seasonal brews. Their motto quoting a Franciscan monk, "Because without beer, things do not seem to go as well," is something that certainly should be explored-not to mention their fish and chips.
Visit any of the 70 locations, take a photo at the site and post it to Instagram or Twitter or on the Kansas Tourism Facebook page and use the hashtag #KSBucketList (one entry per person per location) for a chance to win. One winner will be drawn at random each month and awarded a prize, and a grand prize winner will be announced at the end of 2016. Contest begins January 1, 2016.
