Born and raised in Kansas, these five talented musicians came together in 2015 and began creating local country music based out of Wichita. Since the inception of Morrison County they have played festivals around Wichita including The Dam Music Festival and have had the opportunity to open for acts like Moreland and Arbuckle, Midland, and Dylan Scott. Country music runs deep in the hearts of all the members of Morrison County. Matthew Morrison(lead vocals, song writing, and acoustic guitar) grew up in northern Kansas and the majority of his song writing depicts his upbringing and provides a classic window looking into the lifestyle of Midwest rural living. Morrison County released their debut album "The Line" in February of 2017 with powerful tracks like "He Don't", "Let Me Hold You", and "The Line". Bringing up the support portion of the band is Josh Melcher on lead electric guitar, Ryan Brownlee on drums, Dave Banks on bass guitar, and Cody Corbet on rhythm electric guitar. Josh and Cody have been actively playing in a band together for over 15 years. With the addition of Dave and Ryan and their musical knowledge and experience, the band has developed a one-of-a-kind sound that stands out in the Wichita country music scene.
