Plan on being in Leavenworth Kansas to see this once in a lifetime event and the next time it will follow this path is approximately 198 years from now! The Moon's shadow will start in Oregon and end in South Carolina and the totality path will be 67 miles wide and include the northeast section of Kansas. Troy, KS will experience almost 2 1/2 minutes worth of total darkness! Here in Leavenworth we should experience 1 1/2 minutes. This totality should be here around 1:05 p.m. Join us at the Leavenworth Landing for a public watch party from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday August 21, 2017. We will be handing out solar eclipse glasses to the first 250+ people. Boyer's Artisan Meatballs and KC Smashers Lemonade will be on site if you're hungry. Located at the crossroads of Esplanade & Cherokee Streets in Downtown Leavenworth.
