This annual, three day festival features the Medicine Lodge Intertribal Powwow and the WRCA sanctioned Kansas Championship Ranch Rodeo, and every three years, our signature event: the Peace Treaty Pageant. All held at Memorial Peace Park, the Medicine Lodge Intertribal Powwow features Native American dancing celebrations and competitions at our newly developed powwow grounds. The Kansas Championship Ranch Rodeo presents working cowboys competing in events much like the day work on their ranches. The Peace Treaty Pageant is a grand scale reenactment that takes place in a natural amphitheater near the original site of the Great Peace Council of 1867 between the U.S. Government and the five Plains Tribes. It compresses 300 years of history into two hours of history and education, celebrating the area's diverse cultures of Native peoples, discoverers, explorers and settlers. Don't miss Red Brick Main Street events in the mornings including a parade and local shopping. The weekend also includes dances, a historical melodrama, children's activities, special food and craft vendors, kids' activities and more! Experience a long weekend full of events, activities and history in the wide-open spaces of Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Learn more at
