Birding Programs with Vanessa Avara of the Milford Nature Center. See live birds, while learning about their physical characteristics and attributes. Birding programs are at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm and last approximately 45 minutes. Come see a vulcher, American Kestral, and others. One of our most popular programs. Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is located two miles north of Strong City on Kansas State Highway 177 (the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway) and is a unique public/private partnership between the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy.
