Aug. 25th,…0900hrs….Opening Ceremonies at the Flag Pole of the Commanding Officer’s Quarters. (Raising of the Flag, by the 8th Kansas, Prayer by Post Chaplin, reading of Governor’s Proclamation.) Aug. 25th…1000hrs….Scout Reenactors, Military Reenactors and any Civilian Reenactors will gather in front of the Commanding Officer’s Quarters. Aug. 25th…1015hrs….Reenactment of the “Signing of the first 30 Forsyth Scouts”. Recognition of Forsyth Scouts Descendants present, in front of Commanding Officer’s Quarters. Aug. 25th…1130hrs….Break for lunch. Aug. 25th…1300hrs….Descendants, Reenactors (if you so desire) and General Public will gather in the Community Building (American Legion Hall) east of the Guard House Museum. Speakers will be giving presentations. Aug 25th…Afternoon….A possibility exists that there may be an impromptu 1800’s baseball game between two of the Military Units. (Subject to time and attendance of units) Aug. 25th…1730hrs….Catered Meal for Descendants, Reenactors and Staff, tentatively at the Commanding Officer’s Quarters. After the meal, all are welcome to the encampment for music and fun for the remainder of the evening. Aug. 26th…0900hrs….A Church Service will be held in the Community Building for those who wish to attend. • Camp fires will be allowed depending on the Weather and any Countywide Burn Band that may be inplace. If camp fires are allowed, wood will be made available.
