Clinton State Park and AmeriCorps invite you to join us for our Annual First Day Hike. We will guide you on a journey for approximately 2 miles along the sections of the existing North Shore Trails that flow throughout Clinton State Park. We'll be exploring the understatedly hilly terrain and abundant wildlife of Eastern Kansas. Amateur arborists and bird watchers will be amazed at the numerous species present within the park boundaries. Meet at the Park Office at Noon p.m. We’ll take a 2 hour hike. Start the year off right, with US on the trails. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to see the eagles that winter here at Clinton Lake. Fingers Crossed! There will be free t-shirts and hot cocoa to help get us started! Don’t forget to bring water and dress appropriately!
