Historic characters going about their daily activities, but stop at 1 p.m. to read the Declaration of Independence. Join in some good old-fashioned historic games of egg-toss, rope jumping, running races, hoop and stick races, and bison chip bingo. Games are from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Refreshments served. All activities and events are free. Join the fun! Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is located two miles north of Strong City on Kansas State Highway 177 (the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway) and is a unique public/private partnership between the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy.
