Armed with an acerbic quip and a dazzling frock, the flamboyant, vivacious socialite Mame Dennis lives by the mantra, “Life’s a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!” Into this world comes her young orphaned nephew, Patrick Dennis. Mame finds that she has been appointed as his guardian and the two immediately form a loving friendship.
