This wooded sanctuary carries a unique history matched with a blossoming future. Accounting for 40 acres just 20 miles south of Wichita, the arboretum was founded by Dr. Walter Bartlett, an area doctor, in 1910. Seasonally, Bartlett Arboretum swings open the garden gate welcoming outdoor enthusiasts to be inspired and educated among the historic landscape. Other festivals, Tulip Time, Art at the Arb, TreeFest and EcoFest bring many visitors to this Sumner County treasure.
