Visit Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve over the Labor Day Weekend and help celebrate the 14th annual Tallgrass Prairie Quilt Display. Featured this year is the celebration of wildflower designed quilts. View a wide selection of quilts on display in the historic limestone barn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 31, September 1st, and 2nd, and vote for your favorite quilt. On Monday, September 2nd at 1 p.m., the winner will be announced. On Saturday August 31st from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy a barn dance among the quilts with live music in the historic 1882 limestone barn. Visitor participation is highly encouraged. No experience necessary as a dance caller will instruct dancers.
