Looking for affordable family fun this summer? Kansas’ largest city, Wichita, checks all the boxes. Wichita is not only loaded with family-friendly activities, many of the city’s most popular attractions are participating in the 2023 Sunflower Summer program, which allows all Kansas students along with up to two adults free admission from May 26 to Aug. 13. That means FREE admission at 15 Wichita attractions all summer long!

With that many attractions to visit, plan for an extended stay or a long weekend in Wichita, the Heart of the Country. Heck, you may have to plan more than one getaway to Wichita this summer in order to visit all 15 attractions!

Did you know that the Sunflower Summer app, developed by the Kansas Department of Education, gives students (K-12) and parents the opportunity to explore dozens of attractions across the state, FOR FREE?
