While I am passionate about discovering restaurants with great-tasting food and atmosphere, fascinating attractions and fun events in Kansas, my fervent desire is sharing what I find through my writing to motivate others to explore and appreciate my home state. My goal as a freelance writer for more than 20 years has been to promote the Sunflower State through blog posts, social media, videos and feature stories on websites and in magazines, travel publications and newspapers. I also have authored two books, Historic Homes of Abilene and Abilene’s Carousel, to honor the city I’ve called home since graduating with a journalism degree from Kansas State University. Growing up in the small town of Cuba in north central Kansas, I learned size doesn’t matter – every community has something to offer visitors seeking adventure.
