½ c. apples, (eating apples) chopped and tossed in lemon juice (to prevent browning)
1/3 c. chopped celery
2-3 Tbsp coarsely chopped walnuts
1-2 Tbsp raisins
4 c. chopped cabbage (about 1 pound)
2/3 c. Waldorf slaw dressing
Preparation: Drain lemon juice from apples. Mix all ingredients together. Chill until ready to serve. Yields 10-12 servings.
Waldorf Slaw Dressing
This can be made up and held in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks. Add to salad ingredients as needed.
2 c. mayonnaise
2/3 c granulated sugar
¼ c. white vinegar
Preparation: Mix all ingredients and let stand to allow sugar to dissolve. Stir again before adding to salad.
